The name Edava combines the names of Rachel's two nieces, Edith and Ava — a reminder of the family values, trust and long-term relationships that remain at the heart of our business today.

Before co-founding Edava, Rachel spent more than 20 years building a commercial career that spanned hospitality operations, business turnaround and recruitment-company leadership.
That experience gave her a first-hand view of the challenges organisations face when attracting, developing and retaining talented people. Not a view from outside the business, but one earned from inside it.

Nick has worked at senior level in Financial Services and IT and brought the commercial and operational discipline to match Rachel’s hands on experience. Together they built a partnership grounded in the same principle: listen first, advise honestly, and measure success by outcomes rather than activity.

Together, Rachel and Nick recognised that many organisations weren't simply struggling to recruit.
They were struggling to understand the employment market they were recruiting within. Recruitment alone wasn't solving the problem.
Businesses needed better information, sharper market insight and commercially grounded advice.
